We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform
  • Process bookings and payments
  • Verify user identities for safety purposes
  • Send SMS verification codes via Twilio
  • Communicate with you about your account and transactions
  • Send service-related emails (verification codes, booking confirmations)
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • With other users: Your name and profile are visible to users you transact with
  • Service providers: Stripe (payments & ID verification), Twilio (SMS delivery), Cloudinary (image storage), Resend (email delivery), Neon (database hosting)
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety

4. Identity Verification

Identity verification is powered by Stripe Identity. Your government ID and biometric data are processed and stored by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy. DamnTrailers receives only a verification status result.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

7. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that is reasonably likely to result in harm to affected users, DamnTrailers LLC will notify affected users by email within a reasonable time and, where required, notify applicable regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable law.

8. Cookies

We use cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
