Cancellation & Refund Policy

Renter Cancellation Tiers

Each listing displays the owner's chosen cancellation policy. The 10% platform service fee is non-refundable in all cases. The security deposit is always fully refunded on renter-initiated cancellations.

Flexible

  • Cancel more than 24 hours before start → 100% rental refund
  • Cancel within 24 hours of start → No rental refund

Moderate

  • Cancel more than 72 hours before start → 100% rental refund
  • Cancel 24–72 hours before start → 50% rental refund
  • Cancel within 24 hours of start → No rental refund

Strict

  • Cancel more than 7 days before start → 100% rental refund
  • Cancel 2–7 days before start → 50% rental refund
  • Cancel within 48 hours of start → No rental refund

Owner Cancellations

If an owner cancels a confirmed booking, the renter receives a 100% full refund of all amounts paid. Owners who cancel within 48 hours of the rental start time forfeit 10% of the rental amount as a penalty. Repeated cancellations may result in listing suspension.

Security Deposit Refunds

Security deposits are released to the renter within 5 business days following the rental end date, provided the trailer is returned in the same condition. Damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of return with supporting photos. Disputes over deposit withholding are handled through our Dispute Resolution process.

Extenuating Circumstances

DamnTrailers LLC may override standard cancellation policies in cases of documented death or serious illness, declared natural disasters, or government-ordered travel restrictions. Submit requests to support@damntrailers.com within 24 hours of the rental start.

How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer. DamnTrailers LLC does not issue refunds in cash or by alternative payment method.
