Yes. Renters must carry their own auto insurance covering the towing vehicle and any liability arising from operating the trailer. DamnTrailers does not sell or provide insurance — check with your auto insurer to confirm trailer coverage before you book.
What if the trailer gets damaged during my rental?
Renters are financially responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. Damages are first deducted from your security deposit; anything beyond is settled between renter, owner, and the renter's auto insurance.
How do I get paid as an owner?
Payouts are sent via direct deposit to your connected bank account, typically within 2-3 business days after a rental completes.
Can I cancel a booking?
Renters can cancel before the rental starts, subject to the owner's cancellation policy. Owners should avoid canceling as it affects their rating.
